In memory of Tova Vickar, z”l
Tova Vickar was petite in stature and yet she was a giant. Let me explain. On a “macro” level, her life was representative of a generation of heroic Jews who miraculously managed to survive the Holocaust, found themselves in displaced person camps after the war and made their way to the fledgling State of Israel, a country that opened its arms to absorb them. There in Israel they remade their lives anew. Tova’s life exhibits all the dramatic historical events…
