To say that this has been a difficult week for our community would be an understatement. We are saddened and outraged by the deadly anti-Semetic attack on the Tree of Life synagogue and its congregants that took 11 lives.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to those affected by this tragedy, and we pray for a speedy recovery for the wounded, and for their entire congregation as their community picks up the pieces and forges on in the wake of this tragedy.
In our community, the outpouring of support has been very touching. On Tuesdaynight, over 2,000 people attended the vigil at Shaarey Zedek synagogue. People of all ages, from a variety of backgrounds attended to pay tribute and stand shoulder-to-shoulder with us as we mourn for the victims of the tragedy and vow to stand up to hatred and anti-Semitism wherever it may occur.
