While it’s partly true that hairstylists pick straws when I walk in the door, fearing an eccentric client, I’ve landed in the best chair in town.
I first met Mia about 5 years ago plus, she didn’t flinch when I asked for a Brazilian black curly extension. She immediately researched and found a weft product that was not only cheaper, but could be installed faster, promising me a fabulous look.
From then on, I haven’t scared her off.
What makes Mia unique in her profession, is not only her lengthy experience as a hair stylist, but she actually listens to her loyal clientele following, with a sincerity that is rare.
She is all about precision. Her strong work ethic is like her approach to life: give it all you’ve got !
She’s not new to this competitive industry and she maintains a roster of customers who keep coming back.
Mia used to be a body builder and we all know how much of a commitment that skill set requires.
Aside from her excellent skill set which is intuitive to her, she is fast and you leave in a state of wonderment. How did she get all that done in an hour? She is to the point.
Her own look is edgy, unique and creative. She is up very early to look after her beloved dogs and exercises religiously before starting her day at the salon.
Everyone knows how gifted she is, but she is also known for her attachment to some of her more fragile older clients, who she goes the extra mile for. She is without question, a cut above as a human being.
She has a wicked sense of humour and treats each client individually as a special person.
It’s no wonder she has so many individuals, who have followed her for decades and trust no one else with their hair.
Hair is an extremely personal thing for the vast majority of people. They want it just so and the trust factor is enormous in who you allow the privilege of styling you.
Each of us has had that one “bad” experience and you have sworn never to return as you carry forth your journey wearing a hat for months.
This doesn’t happen with Mia. She can size you up quickly and give you a customized cut that leaves you feeling like a million bucks.
Many people are gifted, but maybe lack somewhat in communicating with others. Not the case with her. She values your time, your opinion and hears the hard knock stories we all endure. Yet she lifts your spirits as she is as straight a shooter as they come.
I am not your typical client. So if she can handle me, I suspect she takes on many challenges.
Anybody who loves dogs and animals that much, has a huge heart and a passion for life.
She is aMIAble to all, boheMIA enough for my liking and lacks any toxiMIA detectable to the naked eye.
