As we speak, Iranians are being shot by the IRCG, (the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps), in the streets of Iran. Reports of over 2,000 people (CBS News) have been slaughtered, as they protest the Islamic dictatorship, which has kept them living under terror since 1979, when the Shah of Iran was overthrown. The morgues are overflowing
Iranians fearlessly want a free Iran as they see a crack in the foundation enslaving them in order to overthrow tyranny. These opportunities are few and far between. Act now or remain under a dictatorship.
Iranians need the support of average Canadians, including, of course, Jewish Canadians. The Middle East would be a far more peaceful place without the mullahs support of its proxies, Hamas and Hezbollah and its drive to hegemony in the region via ballistic missiles and the intent to become a nuclear . Israel is an obvious beneficiary if their U.S. regime change in Iran.
Initially the protests were in response to the economic crisis and the shortage of water the country faces. But the crackdown has been severe, as innocent civilians, including children, have been shot in the streets.
It’s clear the vast majority of the population wants regime change.
Will Trump step in? Earlier last year, the US bombed three of Iran’s nuclear sites, which posed a global threat.
Israel and Iran, before 1979 were on good terms. A revolution in Iran would be the most significant event of recent memory,
On th, an article appeared in the Wall Street Journal asking where are the protests in the west? “Where are all those defenders of persecuted Muslims who have been so active on the streets of New York, London, Sydney, Rome and elsewhere the past two years? Where are the demands for justice and freedom for the downtrodden victims of a brutally repressive state?” (WSJ, Gerald Baker, , 2026). Where are the left wing academics on universities who are saying the Islamic Republic of Iran is committing a genocide against its own people? Where are the Palestinians and their allies on the left who want “a free Palestine from the river to the sea, “ but don’t want a free Iran.
The silence is startling.
One would hope to see Winnipeggers, including of course Jews , and others across Canada support peaceful Canadian Iranians , and march alongside them. Where is our presence? It doesn’t appear to exist. All those who are WOKE surely can’t approve of these random slaughters in the streets of Tehran, the capital city and other areas, such as Isfahan and Mashhad, Karaj, where the streets are filled with vulnerable protestors.
After , Jews were shocked that the world turned on us. We were labelled as those responsible for mass genocide in Gaza. Astonishingly, this accusation rose after the slaughter of innocent Jews in Israel. The country responded as any country would to defend itself.
But Palestinians and others immediately took to the streets in Western capital. In droves they showed up, but where are they now, as innocent Iranians are pleading for humanity and justice. Iran is committing a genocide against its own people, who they rule over with cruelty and as self-proclaimed demigods.
The protests of Iranian are being met with gunfire. Will Iran seek to deflect attention from its woes by attacking Israel with missiles again? Israel must be prepared for this eventuality. Is the US going to step in? Negotiations with these rulers is as viable as meeting with Hamas for talks. Those who murder their own citizens, are devoid of empathy and compassion.
It occurs to me that we as a tribe, need to support the Iranians fighting for their lives.
We need to have a presence wherever they are rallying in Canada, to show our support for the underdog.
They have suffered enough. Their fate could be remarkable with the downfall of the existing regime.
Yes, it’s time for change. Change will bring some peace to a region seriously lacking in it for far too long.
Stand with Iranians seeking a change in regime.
